Changes to how to make a Routine

We have been working very hard to improve our appointment system and manage the increased workload and to improve access for our patients during the continued COVID Pandemic.
We still have to conform to COVID guidelines and all requests for face to face appointments with a GP must be triaged in the first instance by a GP.
If you have an acute urgent medical problem that needs urgent on the day attention you can still request a GP to ring you via our Triage service which we offer every day.
If you are requesting a routine appointment that is not a medical emergency we are changing the way you request a face to face routine appointment.
You will no longer have to write to request an routine appointment via email or E-consultation you will now be automatically booked into a “Routine Telephone Appointment Request ” were your next contact will be a telephone call from a GP to discuss your  request for a Face to Face appointment.
If you wish to continue to use the E-Consult service this will still be available but we will no longer be accepting requests for appointments via the surgery email.
We hope by introducing this new procedure it will improve your access and reduce the time you have to wait to speak to a GP to discuss your request.
Please bear with us as we implement this new system and we would welcome any feedback
