It's that time of year again FLU Vaccinations there are 2 types of vaccines available this year under 65's and over 65's so please make sure you book into the correct clinic. The vaccines will be delivered at different times and our first delivery will be for patients under 65 years of age will be on 26th September

The following patient's qualify to have a free vaccination 

  • All patients over the age of 64 (65 years plus)
  • All patients who have a chronic condition for example diabetes, Respiratory problems, heart disease and immune suppressed conditions
  • Pregnant women
  • Children aged 2 - 3 years old

Our first clinic will be for all patients who are UNDER 65 Years of age on SATURDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER and we are able to take bookings now.

Our patients who are 65 years and over will not be able to have the vaccine until our first clinic on SATURDAY 12TH OCTOBER

Pharmacy First for Minor Ailments

If you have certain minor ailments or conditions you may be eligible for Pharmacy First - our new minor ailments service. The service enables those who get free prescriptions to go straight to their pharmacist for a consultation, instead of going to their GP for a prescription.

You must be registered with a Southampton City GP practice and eligible for free prescriptions to use this service which covers the following ailments:

  • Cough
  • Cold
  • Fever in children
  • Upper respiratory tract infection (including cough, cold, ear ache)
  • Sore throat
  • Diarrhoea
  • Constipation
  • Earwax
  • Indigestion
  • Insect bites and stings
  • Mouth ulcers
  • Haemorrhoids
  • Dry eye
  • Nappy rash
  • Hay fever
  • Headlice
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Headache
  • Vaginal thrush
  • Oral thrush adult
  • Minor burns and scalds
  • Athletes’ foot 
  • Cold sores
  • Contact dermatitis
  • Threadworm 
  • Paediatric teething
  • Musculoskeletal pain & soft tissue injury
